CM Punk made a comeback to RAW after being sidelined with an injury since January. Fans were buzzing with excitement about his appearance at WrestleMania after rumors about the prospect of it caught fire. The ‘Cult of Personality’ assured the crowd that he would indeed be present, although his specific role for the event was still up in the air. He then called out Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins, who had often referenced his injury. Especially the Scotsman, who had been mocking Punk constantly.
McIntyre and Rollins entered the fray, proposed that Punk could take on a commentator role at WrestleMania, and Voila! Punk agreed to join Pat McAfee and Michael Cole as a commentator for the event. But do you know that there might actually be a different rationale behind this decision by the WWE other than building a feud? Let’s dig in to find out.

After tonight’s edition of RAW ended, CM Punk gave a backstage interview to the WWE. And one of the several questions he answered was the decision to join the commentary table. Though while answering it, he might’ve dropped the real reason the WWE wants him to join commentary. And the reason is his ‘bloated contract’. He said, “Yeah, you know I think Drew would say that we have to figure out something for me to do to justify my bloated contract. Like let’s face it, who is the five-tool player in the WWE right now? It’s this guy (gestures to himself). I’d like to maybe try my hand out as a referee. But honestly, I would not be able to be impartial with these two idiots. So maybe commentary is the best thing to do.”

It looks like the WWE is making Punk work to justify his contract. Or at least that’s how McIntyre would like to look at it. Until CM Punk makes his in-ring return. And for that, he has a buffet of wrestlers looking to face him. Whether it be Drew McIntyre, or the latest name in his list of haters, Roman Reigns.

After several years of trying, WWE found the perfect key for the public to finally be on Roman Reigns’ side. With his union with Paul Heyman, we saw a very attractive new character from Reigns where as the weeks went by he was settling into the company’s weekly programming.
His character went further, as he created a faction with The Usos where months later, Solo Sikoa joined The Bloodline. Since then, there hasn’t been anyone coughing at ‘The Tribal Chief’. Recently, Roman was chatting on Pat McAfee’s podcast where he lashed out at CM Punk, as he claimed that he doesn’t complain after coming out on top. He claimed that he is not like CM Punk, who once he gets to the top of the mountain claims that it’s not what he expected and starts to complain about it.
