John Cena’s Iconic Rival Set to Face Santos Escobar at Survivor Series After the Latter’s Controversial Promo on SmackDown

The entire WWE universe was in a state of shock when Santos Escobar attacked Rey Mysterio on SmackDown last week. Fan were really worried for Rey Mysterio after the dastardly attack. But tonight on SmackDown, Escobar explained why he viciously assaulted his idol Rey Mysterio.

And that brought out the fury of someone who is going to make Escobar pay for his sins at Survivor Series.

Santos Escobar will be facing Carlito at Survivor Series WarGames

On SmackDown tonight, Santos Escobar tried to clear the air as to why he attacked Rey Mysterio last week. He explained that Mysterio was his hero, even a father figure to him.

But last week Escobar realized that Dominik Mysterio was right about his father. He expressed his anger over not becoming the United States Champion, an opportunity that Mysterio got on his behalf. And that’s something that Escobar is still bitter about.

He even went on to say that Rey Mysterio “betrayed” him. And wished that Mysterio’s surgery didn’t go well and that his leg would get amputated. This led to Zelina Vega coming out and slapping Escobar straight in the face for his blatant evil mockery. Then the other two members of the LWO confronted Escobar but were brutally attacked. Finally, Carlito came to their rescue and thus secured a match against him at Survivor Series to teach him a lesson.

But talking about Rey Mysterio, there was a positive health update about The Master Of The 619.

Rey Mysterio just had a successful knee surgery

Last week on SmackDown, Santos Escobar brutally assaulted Rey Mysterio after he confronted him for not coming to Carlito’s aid. He viciously attacked Mysterio’s leg by jamming it with the steel stairs.

On account of this, Mysterio had to undergo a knee surgery. But on SmackDown it was revealed that the knee surgery was a success. Mysterio also tweeted, “Knee surgery was successful. Now payback @escobarwwe is on the horizon!”

Thus sending out a warning message to Santos Escobar. But in the meantime, Carlito will be trying to teach a lesson or two to Escobar on behalf of Mysterio at Survivor Series. But what are thoughts on Carlito facing Santos Escobar at Survivor Series?
