John Cena Told to Go Back Home After Making an Imposing WWE Return

John Cena’s return on the go-home edition of SmackDown was thunderous. Fans were extremely thrilled to have him back. In addition, John Cena went on to reveal that he would host WWE’s premium live event, Payback.

The sixteen-time World Champion also expressed his excitement over hosting a WWE event for the first time in his two-decade-long career. Naturally, the announcement received a positive reception. However, there was one young WWE star who made an impolite request to John Cena ahead of Payback. 

John Cena was asked to “go home” before hosting Payback

Who could ask John Cena to go back home? Well, the star in question is none other than Judgment Day member, Dominik Mysterio. Taking to Twitter, Dom reacted to a picture that John Cena shared, in which we saw him preparing to host Payback, striking The Thinker pose. 

Cena wrote, “Backstage in Pittsburgh, PA deep in preparation for my first time hosting a @WWE PLE… #WWEPayback is LIVE on @peacock TONIGHT!”

Reacting to Cena’s Twitter post, Dom posted a gif that said, “Ok, Go Home.” John Cena is slated to make several appearances on WWE TV. A major reason for his return could be tied to the fact that Hollywood is currently closed due to the SAG-AFTRA Strike.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see Dominik Mysterio cross paths with John Cena. Mysterio was instrumental in helping his stable achieve success at Payback. Not only did he help Rhea Ripley retain her Women’s World Heavyweight Championship, but he also assisted Damian Priest and Finn Balor to dethrone Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens.

Anyway, we will have to wait and see if John Cena puts Dom in his place. It’s worth noting that this wasn’t the first time that Dominic Mysterio took a shot at John Cena.

When WWE broke the news about John Cena’s return, the WWE Universe was full of excitement. However, Dominik Mysterio, in typical heel fashion, took to Twitter to post a gif. The GIF suggested that nobody cared about John Cena. 

It said, “Who gives a sh*t?”. Anyway, John Cena did way more than just make his remarkable return. The wrestling legend is scheduled to team up with Seth Rollins and take on Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser in the upcoming event, Superstar Spectacle, in India on September 8th.
