The stage is set for the games to begin. On the latest episode of SmackDown, the general manager of Raw, Adam Pearce, hinted that it might be time to bring back the brand rivalry once again. On the October 20th episode of SmackDown, fans saw Jey Uso making his way to SmackDown. This was in retaliation for what his twin, Jimmy Uso, did on Raw this week. But more than Jimmy Uso, the new general manager of SmackDown, Nick Aldis was infuriated by this move. Backstage, we saw a furious Aldis arguing with Jey Uso for barging in and fined him $10,000.

Adam Pearce came to the scene and, after hearing of the fine, levied the same on Jimmy Uso. And as Aldis told both of them to ‘take a walk’, Pearce turned and said, ‘Let the games begin’. This hinted at the old brand wars coming back to the Survivor Series. The possible teams fans might get to see may be shocking, to say the least.

Are John Cena and Roman Reigns joining hands?

If the two brands are going to war, they both might want to have the best men on board. Aldis might know just the right trick to assemble a strong team. John Cena originally had a schedule with WWE till October 27th. However, due to the ongoing SAG -AFTRA strikes, the star might not return to Hollywood soon. Because of this, fans might see John Cena at the Survivor Series forming an unlikely alliance with Roman Reigns. Even though they haven’t faced each other yet, there is tension between them which is bound to lead to a fight. But Aldis might want the best to work together, to help the brand save its name.

If Roman Reigns joins hands with John Cena for this time, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso will likely fall in the line too. Even though Solo Sikoa has a personal vendetta against John Cena, he might keep it aside for the time being, just for the sake of The Tribal Chief. Jimmy Uso will not be left with much of a choice but to ally with him.

But the team is still short of one member, and that might be Kevin Owens. When Nick Aldis took the position of SmackDown’s general manager, he brought Kevin Owens to the roster in exchange for Jey Uso going to Raw. Out of all the stars present at Raw, he decided to get Owens to his roster. He will likely play a pivotal role in the SmackDown team.

With the war on the horizon, Aldis will do everything possible in his power to win the battle. But Adam Pearce has proven to be a fierce manager. He might be planning something even bigger.

Adam Pearce might pull out his aces

To give a tough fight to Aldis’s team, Pearce, who has known the ins and outs of Raw, might form an almost indestructible team. The first obvious member of his team will be Jey Uso because he suffered humiliation at SmackDown along with Pearce. He might voluntarily come up to Pearce saying that he wants to fight. Two other people who might join Jey Uso could be Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes. Both have stood with the star and supported him since he was drafted here. Also, these three have one common goal: to bring Roman Reigns down. But to fight Reigns, they will need someone who can go on par with him.

The next pick by Pearce might be Drew McIntyre. Having him on the team will be like fighting fire with fire. The star is almost equal to Reigns in size and stature. If left alone with him in the ring, chances are he might end up defeating The Tribal Chief, thus shattering Aldis by defeating his trump card. Talking about trump cards, Pearce might have one up his sleeve. Apart from Reigns, John Cena might prove to be a hurdle for the Raw team. To tackle this problem, the general manager of Raw might enlist the help of Raw’s ‘deadliest’ fighter, The Viper. With the rumors going around, fans might get to see Randy Orton once again strike fear in John Cena’s eyes. He might brace the ring to prove that he can still put up a fight.
