That being John Cena recently revealed that he was once mistaken for his 2017 Daddy’s Home 2 co-star, Mark Wahlberg. He also confessed how the entire incident left him in an awkward situation. Let’s find out what he had to say about the incident.
John Cena narrates an uncomfortable incident

‘The Champ’ recently sat down for an interview with Josh Horowitz from MTV News, a live taping of the Happy Sad Confused podcast. During the interview, he talked about a bunch of things. A segment of the interview saw the podcast host ask him a question. It was, “Who is the last person you were mistaken for?”
He replied by saying that the person was none other than a popular Hollywood actor like him, “Mark Wahlberg.” The show host then asked when whether he corrected the mistake. To which he replied, “I don’t know what happened after that. That’s Mark Wahlberg right now. You son of a b*tch. Sorry, Mark. I’m sorry.”
He jokingly implied that the situation rendered him so uncomfortable that he had no idea what was going on around him. Both the stars have so close resembles anyone would mistake identifying them as different people. In fact, they also used the resemblance factor as a gag in the 2015 comedy movie.
Mark Wahlberg’s reference in Cena’s movie
Those who have watched ‘The Cenation Leader’s popular movie, Trainwreck, know that Wahlberg’s reference was given in the movie. During a segment in the movie, Steven (Cena) and Amy Townsend (Amy Schumer) start talking while watching a movie in a theatre that disturbs a couple sitting behind him.

Thus, the guy sitting behind them asks them to shut up and addresses Cena’s character as Wahlberg. This leads to them having a hilarious verbal confrontation that is bound to make anyone laugh. In addition, to even the score on his joke board, the 51-year-old Hollywood actor also made the wrestler-turned-actor’s reference once.

He shared a picture of himself standing alongside Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, and Dwayne Johnson. And captioned it, “Shaq looks like he ate me, Charles, The Rock AND John Cena. #TBT.” It was a pun-intended joke about ‘Mr. P’s “You can’t see me!” catchphrase, as we can’t literally see him in the picture. Funny right?!
