Just a week prior to Fastlane PLE, Adam Pearce and WWE confirmed two marquee tag-team matches for the upcoming PLE. Last week’s SmackDown confirmed the next chapter in the feud between John Cena and The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso) as LA Knight confirmed his intentions to dish out some punishment at the marquee PLE. WWE has confirmed that Cena and Knight will feature at the main event of Fastlane. Rumors are that Cena could appear in another segment before his match. It will be interesting to know how WWE will use Cena in another segment other than his match.

On last week’s SmackDown, WWE confirmed a Tag-Team match between The Bloodline and John Cena with LA Knight. Accompanying Solo Sikoa will be Jimmy Uso who is looking forward to getting The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns’ approval.
Interestingly, both Cena and Rhodes are returning to the Fastlane PLE after five and eight years, respectively. Also, both superstars haven’t marked a win at Fastlane, so it will be a golden opportunity for them to change their fortunes.
Meanwhile, The Judgment Day will face Cody Rhodes with Jey Uso for the Undisputed tag team title. Going by WWE’s plans for setting up a grand narrative, The Judgment Day, Finn Balor and Damian Priest might retain the title. There are speculations that the heel faction might initiate a beatdown after their win by using their numerical advantage.
This might create a situation for the baby-faces to save the day. While Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are the most probable names to feature, John Cena may get involved in some capacity. Considering the star power of Cena, it could set the stage for some unexpected twists and turns. Nevertheless, the prestige wrestling promotion has one concrete plan outlined for John Cena.
WWE could opt to use John Cena to build up LA Knight for Roman Reigns
This might also lead to The Judgment Day interfering with Cena’s match as The Bloodline has no support in the roster currently. It aligns well with Triple H’s methodical storytelling, where multiple storylines have cross over to evoke a vociferous reception.

Cena-Knight vs. The Bloodline match could act as the build-up for the emerging LA Knight to face Roman Reigns in the future. On the episode of SmackDown on 15th September, LA Knight issued his challenge to every WWE Champion. A segment soon followed it up between Paul Heyman and LA Knight. It was WWE’s hint indicating a potential blockbuster feud.
