John Cena recently sat down with Kevin Hart for an interview. During the segment, the 16-times-World Champion would open up about some of his legendary matches in the company, and compare them with his promo battles. However, while doing so, he would leak out an essential secret about his promos.

Cena claimed that the fights are physically exhausting however, they are choreographed. Whereas, the promo battles take place on the spot. He said, “You know a lot of the times you got out there and it’s physically brutal. But when we choreograph the physical stuff, you trust your partner, you trust the person you are in there with. You double sure everything is going right, you practice something umpteenth times you do. But when it comes to talking shit?”

Cena further stated, “I always say, ‘Okay we are going out there and talk shit about each other. Do you wanna go in a room together and figure out what we’re gonna say?’ 99 times out of a 100, people Will be like, ‘No! See you out there.'”

Prior to WrestleMania 39 this year, John Cena would get into an altercation with the upcoming talent, Austin Theory. However, during their promo battle, Cena would reveal why he is an all-time legend when he would refer to the fake crowd noises during Theory’s segments.

Similarly, a few years ago, when Roman Reigns was far away from being The Tribal Chief, Cena would also brutally destroy Reigns during their promo battle. Reigns would forget his lines and be visibly uncomfortable. However, instead of helping him remember his lines, Cena would start brutally roasting Reigns on camera.
