Randy Orton made his return during the 2023 Survivor Series WarGames after being inactive since May 2022 due to a back injury. On the recent episode of SmackDown, he signed a contract with the blue brand, officially adding him to Friday Nights. Now John Cena has taken to Twitter to extend heartfelt congratulations to his longtime colleague.

Describing Orton’s addition to SmackDown as a significant acquisition, Cena conveyed a word of caution to the entire roster, emphasizing the ever-present threat of Orton’s iconic RKO move. Cena said, “Absolutely incredible to see Randy Orton continue to excel after such a storied career. A massive pickup for #Smackdown and a word to the wise … watch out for that RKO!”

Cena praised Orton for his success, building anticipation for the surprises the Viper brings to SmackDown. They both were a part of OVW before making their debuts in the main roster in 2002 and were each other’s biggest rivals during the PG Era.
