Pro wrestling involves a lot of risk. The sport is extremely physical and demands precision in the execution of maneuvers (be it simple or complex). But sometimes, fate can betray a pro wrestler. Speaking of which last year, a WWE superstar accidentally got injured during a match.
The wrestler – who faced WWE legends John Cena and Dwayne Johnson in the 2011 Survivor Series alongside The Miz – has been out of action for 12 months now. The good news for the fans is that he is planning to return as per his latest confirmation on social media.

Fans can expect John Cena and Dwayne Johnson’s former opponent to return to the ring soon
R-Truth (real name Ronnie Aaron Killings) recently went to his X (formerly called Twitter) account to share a selfie of himself. Under his post, a fan by the name Marc ludeman commented and asked him if he was planning to come back to WWE or not.

Killings replied to the fan with a single word, writing “Yes” under his comment. This is a confirmation from the injured star that he is returning to the Stamford-based promotion. However, he didn’t reveal when or how long would it take for him to make his comeback.

He has already spent 12 months out of action, recovering from his injury. But, considering his unfortunate circumstances, it was expected that this would take a long time.
R-Truth had not one but two surgeries to heal his injured leg
Truth faced Grayson Waller in the opening bout of the November 1, 2022 edition of NXT. During the match, he sent his opponent flying and outside the ring. He then threw himself upon his opponent with a dive but landed in a rough spot.

As a result, he injured his leg, suffering a torn quad tendon. The referee stopped the match, and the paramedics rushed from backstage to ringside and tended to the star immediately. After a few moments, they took him backstage. He kept his fans in the loop on his healing journey with regular posts on social media.
In a post he shared in January, he revealed he had to under the knife twice. The first time was to repair his torn quad and the second one was to remove the infection that his injured leg had unfortunately developed. Undergoing surgery once, let alone twice, is daunting, and this can be a major reason for his prolonged recovery time.
