The August 11 episode of SmackDown saw Jey Uso superkick his brother, Jimmy Uso, as he bid adieu to the blue brand. Since then, the siblings haven’t met on WWE programming. The younger Uso twin is now an integral part of RAW, while Jimmy has reunited with the remaining members of The Bloodline.
But the upcoming episode of SmackDown is likely to disturb the current balance, following an announcement from Cody Rhodes.

Believe it or not, The American Nightmare has now forged an alliance with his past foe Jey Uso, as they plan to take on Damian Priest and Finn Balor of The Judgment Day at Fastlane on October 7.
The Prince of Pro Wrestling made an exciting announcement while addressing the upcoming title bout. Taking a shot at Judgment Day’s plan to be at SmackDown, Rhodes said he’ll be there too.
“… guess what? I’ll be there too. And I’ll not be alone, Main Event Jey Uso will be there as well,” he said. While the promo was directed at Rhea Ripley’s faction, it could now open a can of worms as the move will bring Jey and Jimmy Uso face to face-for the first time in two months.
Will the tension spiral out of control? Whatever happens, it does promise to be an exciting episode, especially with both the brothers having a match at the upcoming Fastlane.

While there is no news as of now, the announcement is likely to about the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic- a tournament named after his legendary father. The said tournament has been taking place every year on NXT since 2015. The 2023 edition is yet to be hosted and Rhodes might sound the bugle.
He, however, won’t be the lone big star attending the upcoming episode. WWE GOAT John Cena will also be present. As per belief, this could be a measure from the management to take on AEW’s Dynamite’s upcoming episode, which will not only clash with NXT, but also feature the in-ring debut of Edge.
