With WrestleMania 40 inching closer, the card continues to get loaded with more jaw-dropping matches. While millions were busy putting all the attention on Roman Reigns-Cody Rhodes’ business, WWE went ahead, sealing a match between The Usos. Last night on SmackDown, the elder Uso readily accepted his brother’s challenge for butting heads in an extremely personal brother vs brother feud on WrestleMania 40. While we know who The Tribal Chief is rooting for, it begs the question: who will Rikishi go for between his sons?
Rikishi came clean with his perspective on the imminent Jimmy Uso vs Jey Uso WrestleMania fight
It’s definitely a tricky area for the Hall of Famer to shed light on. But the good part is he seems very transparent and upfront in his judgment. Rikishi has closely seen every bit of drama that emerged in The Bloodline and his sons. And he deems Jey Uso a lot more resilient and powerful for the way he handled himself after The Bloodline break-up and betrayal from his brother. His performances in the weekly shows promoted the Usos’ father in completely believing in his supremacy and thinking he would be the logical victor. During the latest episode of podcast, ‘Rikishi Fatu Off the Top’, the former champion noted, “Jey is having a hell of a year as a single. Jimmy’s the same as far as being involved in the group with The Bloodline and so, to see the steam that Jey is having as a singles career, it only makes sense from a business standpoint. If I was on the board of TKO or WWE, we’d have to go with YEET. I would feel that would be the best business move, to be able to let Jey get the upper hand for WrestleMania against his brother”
However, despite being particular in his opinion about the outcome of the grudge match, Rikishi sees the opportunity as nothing but a total win-win situation for the family as it showcases both of his sons’ talents.
