Jake Roberts Takes a Dig at “Some” People in AEW for Being Jealous of Brandi Rhodes – “That’s a Damn Shame”

When Cody Rhodes left AEW in February 2022, his wife Brandi Rhodes also followed. Cody Rhodes returned to action and joined WWE in March of the same year. However, his wife Brandi Rhodes is still absent from the wrestling picture. Just like her husband, she also served quality time in the Jacksonville-based performance.

During her time there, she worked with many pro wrestling stars, one of them being Jake Roberts. When asked about her, the WWE legend was full of praise for her. Plus, he also gave some insight into some people being jealous of her in the promotion.

Jake Roberts found Brandi Rhodes very pleasant

While speaking on The Snake Pit Ep. 25: Double or Nothing 2020, the WWE Hall of Famer revealed when Brandi Rhodes was in AEW, he noticed some people being jealous of her.

He said, “I guess there had been some people who had a hard time with her, but not me. There was a lot of jealousy with her, you know. A lot of jealousy and that’s a damn shame.”

From his statements, it can be concluded that the reason behind the jealousy stemmed from the fact that he was really good at her job. “She listened, and the things that she said made sense. You know, that’s what really surprised me that the things she came up with actually made some sense. So that’s great, you know,” he added. 

When asked about his interaction with her, he said that both of them interacted a bit now and then. Moreover, he also found her very pleasant. He was happy to work with her and believes that the feeling was mutual from her side as well.

During the interview, Roberts praised her immensely and confessed how much he admired her. But her number one admirer is none other than her husband, Cody Rhodes.

Before WrestleMania Goes Hollywood, “The American Nightmare’ had an interview with Wrestling Joy. During the interview, he confessed how much he loves and admires his wife for everything she has done for him. He mentioned how his wife’s selfless nature paved the way for his success in the industry.

With no hesitation on his face, he proudly admitted that he wouldn’t have accomplished anything without her. In addition, he also detailed her contribution to the industry and he also revealed a special wish he wanted for her. It was a WrestleMania moment (not a match but enjoyment with the best fandom around the world).

Surely, Brandi Rhodes is the support system of her husband. And it gives their supporters immense joy to see the adorable couple share such a deep love for each other.
