Professional wrestlers stepping into the Hollywood industry are not a rare sight. Several WWE superstars like John Cena, Dwayne Johnson, and Batista have extended their niche to the acting industry.

Kurt Angle is also one of those wrestlers, who have tried their luck in the show business. Even though his fortune has not shined yet, still he didn’t give up and tried to reach out to the President of a $31B worth movie franchise to work in it.

Kurt Angle expressed his wish to work in a famous movie franchise

On the latest episode of his podcast ‘The Kurt Angle Show’, the WWE legend Kurt Angle expressed his wish to work in the famous franchise ‘The Marvel Cinematic Universe’. 

Angle said that he tried it several times but it is not as easy as it seems. He even mentioned that he got Marvel Studio’s President Kevin Feige’s number from his nephew-in-law and reached out to him and even though, he responded and promised to reach back soon, nothing has happened yet.

Talking to Paul Bromwell, Kurt Angle said,  “I’ve tried many times, It’s not that easy….. I ended up getting (Kevin Feige’s) contact information. I reached out to him and told him that I’d be interested in doing a Marvel movie. And, he actually responded to me, but nothing ever came of it……I got it from my nephew-in-law, Jon Bernthal. He actually gave me his contact information. So I talked to him, but unfortunately, nothing has occurred since then.”

Although Angle’s acting career is not as notable as Dwayne Johnson’s, still he has worked in several movies and TV shows.

Kurt Angle started his acting career with a short film named ‘Chains’ in 2008. He later moved to negative roles when he played the role of a serial killer in his next movie. In 2014, Angle also appeared in the romantic comedy ‘Not Cool’. 

Since his debut, Kurt Angle has kept on appearing in several movies and TV shows. However, he is yet to get his big break. While his fellow wrestler and former WWE superstar Batista is winning hearts with his character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Angle is still waiting for his chance in the famed MCU.
