The WWE you watch nowadays is a TV-PG product. In 2008, the sports entertainment giant took this approach to broaden its audience age gap and make its content available to young kids. Before being kid-friendly, blood and violence was a normal theme in the company.

In fact, the talents in the company used to hurt themselves deliberately to satisfy the audience with their performance, as most of the audience preferred to see some sort of violence in WWE. Several wrestlers used to indulge in these practices and the new generation of wrestlers also replicate the antics of the wild heyday. Jon Moxley is a notable name who bleeds profusely on television.
