Excited about the development, she said her initial reaction to her daughter’s passion for pro wrestling was that it was a passing phase. However, the girl’s determination made her think otherwise. “It’s really cool. I used to hear her say it a lot but I thought it was just a phase. Then one day I asked her, what do you want to be when you grow up? And she kind of looked at me like…’Um, I want to be a wrestler?!’,” Belair was quoted as saying by People.
The 34-year-old wrestler, who broke the records of legends like Booker T and Dwayne The Rock Johnson as the longest running African American singles title holder in WWE, doesn’t have biological kids of her own, but is the stepmother of Ford’s three children, according to People.

At the Jeddah Superdome, the former Raw Women’s Champion will try to reclaim her belt.
On the May 12 episode of SmackDown, Belair was soaking in the love from the Knoxville fans who were cheering the hometown girl, when Asuka paid a surprise visit. She appeared to congratulate Belair for her 400+ days run as the RAW champion, making her the longest-running champion of the Red Brand, irrespective of gender. However, as soon as Belair shook her hand, Asuka sprayed her with the signature poison mist, blinding the champion.
