There was a time when fans were expecting Dwayne Johnson to show up at WrestleMania 39. This is because there were speculations that he would be facing off against Roman Reigns at the PLE. Johnson did not add fire to the fuel from his side because he didn’t want to add to his fans’ hopes. But despite his aversion to interacting with The Bloodline, the Hollywood star has recently been feuding with a younger WWE talent.

This has made the fans curious as to why would The Rock react when he didn’t become a part of his cousin’s storyline. In a recent podcast, Johnson’s close associate answered it from his perspective, possibly explaining the situation the best way he could.

The reason why Dwayne Johnson ignored The Bloodline

Brian Gewirtz recently sat down on the podcast ‘The Masked Man Show’. The WWE’s former writer talked to the host of the podcast about a bunch of things. Dwayne Johnson was also a significant part of their conversation. While talking, he also shed some light on the fan curiosity regarding why Johnson is openly feuding with Grayson Waller despite ignoring a potential storyline with The Bloodline.

“If he said something about The Bloodline, gates are open. It’s hard to close the door again. Once you do it, once you, like, dip your toe into the pool, it’s like, on. You can tweet Grayson Waller and he could tweet back and it could be a funny little exchange,” said the SVP of Seven Bucks Productions.

Brian here appears to be saying that since Johnson’s feud with Waller isn’t that serious of a narrative yet, it wouldn’t be much of an issue if the wrestler keeps it up. However, if he had tweeted regarding The Bloodline without any plans to show up for a match, it would’ve been a door hard to close.

Although Gewirtz believes that Johnson and Waller wouldn’t get too far with their online feud, their war appears unending at this point in time.

Is Dwayne Johnson and Grayson Waller’s feud getting anywhere?

It all started when Waller found footage of Johnson’s debut at MSG. This led to the Arrogant Aussie cringing at the outfit choice. Waller disliked it so much that he ended up taking to Twitter to announce his hatred for the outfit and how he finds it cringe-worthy. He also tagged Johnson in the meantime. Soon after, the wrestler got a reply from the WWE legend.

In return, Johnson insulted Waller for looking as if he “dropped out of some jabroni’s balloon knot.” What seemed to fans like an interesting reply to the call-out wasn’t the end of the online feud. In fact, Waller tweeted out yet again addressing the WWE legend. In this latest tweet, he invited him over to his WWE in-ring talk show.
