But away from the ring his life hasn’t been without its struggles.
Recently, while speaking on a podcast, the 67-year-old would reveal his long-fought battle with cancer, and how he fought and won against it. Speaking on the podcast, Roberts revealed his suffering from leg cancer behind his knee.
With a career spanning several decades, Roberts has become one of the most beloved and respected figures in the wrestling world, and his influence can still be felt today. One of the greatest in-ring performers, and a Hall of Fame legend, Roberts left his mark on the wrestling industry.

In a recent interview with VLAD TV, the host would speak highly of Roberts’ victory against cancer, even referring to one of his iconic lines. The host would claim as an homage to Roberts, ” If the devil can’t defeat me, the cancer doesn’t stand a chance in hell,” to which, the legend would smile.
The two would share a wholesome moment talking about his battle with muscular cancer. Roberts would further show his gratitude toward life, and reveal his battle with cancer, while also discussing his current efforts in helping people with addiction.
What did Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts reveal about his battle and win against muscular cancer?
A true legend in the world of wrestling, Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts had to fight a tough battle with his own demons as well. Apart from having a tough childhood growing up, Roberts faced a battle with cancer, while also battling addiction problems.
Speaking on the podcast he would reveal how he fought cancer, and the doctors had to cut it out from his leg. He said, “cancer on the back of my leg.Yeah! They had to cut it out.” He underwent surgery to remove a tumor from his knee. He also underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments to eliminate any remaining cancer cells.

Further, he would reveal how he is grateful for being alive despite for the unhealthy life that he led. Roberts said, “anytime I have left on this planet man is a gift. Because the things that I did and the way I lived, it’s amazing that I am even here but I am. And while I am still here, I’m trying to help as many as I can.”
After recovering from his addiction phase with help from another pro wrestling icon Diamond Dallas Page, he is currently making an effort toward improving the life and lifestyle of people suffering from addiction.
