“It’s a Very Real Thing.”- Former WWE Star Believes the Company Bringing Goldberg “Right In” After His Departure Was Not a Mere “Coincidence”

Goldberg has always been one of the most formidable and dominant in-ring performers of all time. However, he went missing from action for a long time, before finally returning in 2017. Goldberg would return to WWE to face a cocky Brock Lesnar and defeat him within moments.

However, a former WWE superstar did not seem content with Goldberg’s return, especially just months after his departure from the promotion. Former WWE Intercontinental Champion, Ryback recently vent out his frustrations with WWE creative and their decision not to have him pitched against Goldberg.

What did Ryback claim about him not getting his match against Goldberg?

41-year-old Ryback always shared a controversial relationship with WWE. From the time of his employment, to even after being let go. Ryback never saw eye-to-eye with WWE. During his days in the promotion, WWE built Ryback as the next Goldberg, and fans were invested in seeing him in a match against the former WWE Universal Champion.

However, recently, Ryback revealed that despite his wanting a match against Goldberg, WWE did not give him that. He further claimed that during his time, WWE was not interested in bringing Goldberg back. However, as soon as he left, they brought him back and involved him in a storyline against Brock Lesnar.

Ryback said, ” I was there, and I asked for that match multiple times, I never shied away from it. They told me straight up they did not want him in the company, they did not want that match. They did not want to make it happen. I left with my injuries, I had to save my career, and my health. And, when I leave they bring Goldberg right in. The moment I leave. It’s not a coincidence. It’s a very real thing. “

Goldberg also recently let out his frustrations with WWE and is now in search of a retirement match. Ryback recently asked Goldberg for his retirement match and he is yet to answer the challenge.

Can fans get Goldberg versus Ryback at any point?

Recently Ryback expressed his desire of facing Goldberg in London at AEW All-In. Goldberg is on the lookout for his retirement match, whereas WWE claimed it is not their responsibility.

Ryback is on the verge of returning to the ring and decided it is best for him to face Goldberg on his return. But Goldberg is yet to answer the challenge. Fans are now awaiting Goldberg’s decision for the match. Ryback was always built as the next Goldberg during his time in WWE. And it would be a treat for the fans to see these two powerhouses collide.
