Logan Paul created history at the Crown Jewel in 2023. He attained glory as he became the new WWE United States Champion after he defeated Rey Mysterio. Following this, he has taken the time to enjoy his newfound status as the new champion. His ecstasy arguably went overboard as he posted some NSFW photos with the belt. Days after posting those photos, Paul expressed his thoughts on becoming a champion. To this, he gave a very heartfelt response. 

Logan Paul reveals what it’s like to be a champion

On the latest episode of his podcast, IMPAULSIVE, Paul held a Q&A session. A fan asked him what the championship title belt meant to him. To this, the internet celebrity replied by saying, “To me, it’s a symbol of accomplishment and trust in the craft and the human”. Following this, he busted a prevalent myth by saying, “WWE doesn’t just give this belt to someone. It is them entrusting you with their publicly traded company” hinting that a star has to win the company’s trust to become a champion.

He further supported the above argument by highlighting the plethora of stars present in the wrestling promotion. Paul pointed out that despite the WWE amassing a wide variety of stars, only a select few have attained championship belts. Being able to win the company’s trust and the title amidst all these big stars on the roster, according to him, was one of his biggest achievements. 

Apart from that, he added that the belt signified his triumph over all the problems he had faced in his life. He said, “That moment when my hand was raised and they handed me this shiny heavy belt the United States Champion I just saw my whole life in front of my eyes all my ups all my downs”

Even though The Maverick has tremendous respect for his new accomplishment, he came under the radar a few days back. The reason? He had posted a couple of NSFW photos on the internet which led to widespread outrage.

The United States Champion earns criticism for his conduct with the belt

A few days ago, Logan Paul did a photoshoot with his new championship title belt, flaunting his new champion life. However, amidst a bunch of photos, there was a photo in particular that stood out. The 28-year-old star took a picture with the belt whilst in the shower. He was bare-bodied, and the belt covered just the crotch area. This sparked an outrage, with even Kevin Owens commenting on the situation. While many called it a disrespect to the belt, there has been no official statement from WWE yet.

It seems like WWE might not take action on Paul’s antics as other superstars have done this as well in the past. Shawn Michaels had notoriously done something similar back in 1996. He was featured in an issue of Playgirl magazine of the same year. In recent times, Mandy Rose recreated a similar picture to that of Michaels. WWE did not take any action against the two. So it is quite unlikely Paul might face the consequences of his actions. Needless to say, Paul is on cloud nine right now as the new United States champion.
