The SHIELD is considered as one of the best stables in the WWE history. The stable led to the creation of three superstars Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Jon Moxley. These three superstars have dominated the pro wrestling industry in the last few years. Recently, they were rated as the top three wrestlers in the world by PWI. However, a recent interview with a former WWE Champion has revealed an exciting story related to the stable.
It is hard to imagine any other star being a part of The SHIELD other than the original trio, but according to a star, who himself is a member of a massive WWE faction, things could have been different.

During a recent interview with Cincy360, former Intercontinental Champion Big E talked about WWE had plans for him to join The Shield and play the part of the enforcer later carried out by Roman Reigns.
BigE was ecstatic speaking about being part of the stable and his missed opportunity. He said, “I think it worked out the best for all of us. I couldn’t fathom now being a part of The Shield. I’m sure it would’ve been fun. I’m sure it would’ve been enjoyable.”
Though BigE considered the opportunity to be a fun affair, he was content with the alternate opportunity he received. In the end, all four superstars became World Champions while BigE became a part of another legendary stable The New Day in 2014.
During the interview with Cincy360, Big E further praised Roman Reigns for playing the role of the enforcer of the group. He said, “I think it was really best for Roman to be in that role as the big dude, the enforcer of that group. That dynamic wouldn’t have felt the same with me being there.” After 10 years, he finds it difficult to fathom being a part of the legendary stable.
Jon Moxley is acknowledged by Seth Rollins
Though the three members of The Shield became WWE Champions in 2016, not all of them were main event performers for WWE. Seth Rollins was the mainstream Champion, while Roman Reigns was built up as the top guy of the company. But Jon Moxley was yet to achieve the stardom as Rollins and Reigns.
