If you label D-Generation X as an iconic group, another WCW classic, NWO also isn’t wrong to demand the same status. Both of the factions made history with numerous breathtaking showdowns over the past eras. A comparative analysis between them makes for a heated discussion among the wrestling faithful. The latest entity to bring the matter up is none other than Hall of Famer Kurt Angle.
The legendary gold medalist kept the D-Generation X one step ahead of Hulk Hogan’s NWO for a reason. During the latest episode of Kurt Angle Show, a fan shot a question to Angle asking which stable he would like to be a member of if given an option. Angle straightaway made his stance clear, saying he has been a big fan of D-Generation X for a long time.
Elaborating on his choice, Angle went on to say, ”The reason why I’ll pick DX over NWO is because they had less members they only have like four good yeah…, but yeah so NWO by 1998-99 they had like 500 members.”
”There was a NWO red and the NWO black. There was the NWO right, yeah when that happened it wasn’t special anymore.”, 13-time world champion added, reasoning NWO’s declining glory.
The WWE Hall of Famer got his surreal fan-boy moment during the January 23, 2023 edition of WWE Raw, which saw him joining the ranks of D-Generation X.
