“It Was Like a Refrigerator Fell on Me”: Amy Schumer Once Revealed ‘Physical’ Discomfort While Working With John Cena

John Cena is an established actor in Hollywood now but there was a time he was just starting in showbiz. During his initial days in the industry, he was part of a rom-com flick Trainwreck in 2015. Although, Cena’s role was a small one it did garner a lot of attention especially because of the raunchy love scene. And his co-star Amy Schumer discussed how it caused her physical discomfort back in the day.

The movie starred her in the lead role and was a huge success. During the promotion for the movie, the actress talked about her steamy scenes with ‘The Cenation Leader’ on the big screen.

John Cena’s co-star once commented on his huge build

The stand-up comedian spoke about Cena’s massive frame to MTV Australia. She said, “It was like a refrigerator fell on me. I think it was probably harder for him. He had to, like, do something. I just did what I usually do when I have sex. Just lay there, so yeah.”

In another interview with E! News, Schumer said, “He’s huge, People just gasped.” He has spoken previously about having a bodybuilding past before making it big in WWE. That explains his imposing frame which may look extraordinary in comparison to a normal-sized being.

Schumer also talked about a major regret in the MTV interview. She said, “You know, I didn’t get to feel his b**ls, it’s a major regret of mine major regret but we’ll just have to hope that they do.”

This isn’t the only time that the I Feel Pretty actress compared the Franchise Player to a refrigerator.

Schumer used the same analogy for Cena and also commented on his initial acting career

She said, “It’s a whole universe, {Cena’s} butt. That Cena a**. It’s not even human. It felt like having a Flick refrigerator on top!”

Perhaps Cena being in the nascent stage of his film career played its part. The actress spoke about it as well, “Apparently wrestlers, they’re not faking!” “He didn’t understand the whole acting thing”. The Doctor Of Thuganomics portrayed the love interest of the actress in the flick.

It surely was a tough task for John Cena to switch careers and venture into acting. A brave call that very few have found humongous success in. As Amy Schumer’s remarks from the past highlight, Cena was a bit awkward in his initial foray into Hollywood.
