Now, days since a blockbuster Fastlane went down, fans started to bulk up for the next extravaganza in the room, which will emanate from Riyadh on November 4. Yes, we’re talking about Crown Jewel 2023. With two bigwigs, Roman Reigns and John Cena potentially making an appearance, the rumored card looks pretty stacked up. That said, there’s one unfavorable condition that could derail the plans for the event.

Pro wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer addressed the situation and helped calm the nerves of the WWE Universe

Political unrest is such a condition that affects every area in our society. Similarly, WWE is also not immune to it at all. So, the most aware and astute fans out there are worried that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, taking a toll on the Crown Jewel.

As such fans couldn’t help but ask on the social media platform if it really could postpone the PLE scheduled in November. A fan asked Meltzer on X.

Dave Meltzer came up with a relaxing answer. He retweeted the question with the caption, “Depends on world events, but they are going unless pretty much forced not to.”

The event is going to be crucial due to how much importance WWE has vested in the Crown Jewel in recent years.

Although Meltzer did throw some caution to the wind, it appears that WWE will likely go ahead with the Saudi Arabian PLE. In fact, the first-title match for the marquee PLE is already locked.

The first title match for WWE Crown Jewel 2023 was made official

This week’s Raw added an important segment for the upcoming Crown Jewel. The world Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins opened the show with a stellar promo. Then he stepped up to face the immediate challenge coming his way in the form of an amped-up Drew McIntyre. After the duo confronted each other, WWE announced the very first title bout of the upcoming PLE featuring Rollins and McIntyre contesting for Rollins’ coveted title.

The other matches predicted for the PLE includes Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Damian Priest and Finn Balor for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships, Roman Reigns (c) vs. LA Knight for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, IYO SKY (c) vs. Kairi Sane for the WWE Women’s Championship, Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax vs. Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s World Championship and John Cena vs. Solo Sikoa.
