The last episode of RAW was a really sad one for the fans of Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. That fateful night was when Rhodes and Uso were robbed of their tag team titles by the sneaky Jimmy Uso. It’s been just a few days since, but Rhodes finally spoke about the sadness it brought to him.

This was the 2nd major disappointment for Rhodes of the year 2023. The first being his loss to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.

Cody Rhodes is dejected that he and Jey Uso lost their tag titles

Cody Rhodes was the person who actually welcomed Jey Uso to RAW after he quit SmackDown following his fallout with The Bloodline. Thus Rhodes and one half of The Usos have been tight right from day 1. They eventually started feuding with The Judgment Day which led to a tag titles match at Fastlane.

And then Rhodes and Jey Uso beat Damian Priest and Finn Bálor to become the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. Post that they successfully defended their titles against the cocky duo of Grayson Waller and Austin Theory on SmackDown.

But this week on RAW, they defended their titles against Damian Priest and Finn Bálor. And in spite of being in complete control, they still lost the match due to interference by Jimmy Uso, who superkicked Jey Uso right in the face. This title loss definitely hurt Jey Uso, but more so Cody Rhodes, as it was his first championship win post returning to the WWE.

In his recent interview with WWE Deutschland, Rhodes opened up about how sad he was about losing the tag titles. He said, “We’ve just lost the titles, which was not something on the plans, and here I’m wobbling around… I’m okay. I’m not thrilled at what happened. And I feel like fans of Jey Uso and myself are not thrilled. We were having such a fun thing, and for it to end abruptly, okay. But I will say this: I feel like I’ve been tested, and looks like I’m going to be further tested.”

Rhodes did hint towards a possible rematch for the tag titles, but we will only have to wait and watch. But what we won’t have to wait for might be a full-on brawl between the Uso twins in the middle of the ring.

Jey Uso might challenge Jimmy Uso to Tribal Combat

Jimmy Uso has been a thorn in Jey Uso’s side for quite some time now. He cost him the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam. And on Monday he made him lose the tag titles on RAW. But Jey Uso was not gonna take this lying down.

So he appeared on SmackDown and began attacking Jimmy Uso, who was definitely not anticipating the confrontation. Jey Uso was fined $10,000 for breaking the rules, but that didn’t really matter to him. And it seems like he really wants to lay waste to Jimmy Uso and that can only happen through Tribal Combat. So will Jey Uso challenge his brother to a Tribal Combat match? Only time will tell.
