There have been reports that fans would love to see Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson contesting for the United States Presidential Elections in 2024. There is a reason behind that.

While Johnson stands as a reliable public figure, his works as a philanthropist are known to everyone. However, amidst all these pleas, the Hollywood icon decided to share what he thinks of him running for president.

In an interview with Fox & Friends, The Brahma Bull was present with WWE President Nick Khan discussing his recent induction as a new board member of the TKO Group. While speaking with the correspondent, the conversation shifted to ‘Will Dwayne Johnson run for the 2024 Presidential Elections?’ Johnson stated, “I’m honored. I’m not a politician, never had the intention to be a politician, as all this continues to take shape and form, and I get it, especially ramping up into this year in particular with an election year.”

He further reminded the viewers that at one point he was approached by both parties, who wanted him to contest for elections. “I got approached by both parties. One after the other. I said, then, as I say now, ‘I’m honored, thank you.” However, the star shared what his current priorities are.

“The most important thing I’m doing now is being a daddy to my little girls.’ I like school drop and I like pick-ups. I like that and I know if I were to ever go down that road, which I have no intention to, all that goes away, and I don’t want that to go away.” As evidenced by this statement, Johnson’s priority right now is to spend as much time with his daughters as possible before they grow up.

While Johnson might want to avoid going down the POTUS road, however, polls have shown that he’s a popular contender.

Johnson is what the fans want

Appearing on the first episode of Trevor Noah’s podcast What Now?, the Hollywood icon shared about the incident when both the Republican and Democratic parties approached him to contest in the 2024 election. According to Johnson, the political parties brought with them data from a poll. According to that data, 46% of Americans would love to see him as their next president.

The poll was conducted in 2021 and almost 30,000 American adults from had participated in it. This goes to show that the majority of Americans think of him as a dependable person.
