Pro wrestling fans just love it when there is some healthy competition between rival wrestling promotions. Tuesday Night War was a perfect example of how fans long for such a healthy rivalry. The excitement could grow leaps and bounds come January as an old wrestling promotion is set to make a revival.
This wrestling promotion has housed big names like Hulk Hogan, Sting, AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, and Samoa Joe to name a few.

Not just fans, but even wrestlers themselves love some healthy competition between the promotions. AEW’s top star MJF thinks the same as he openly cheers for Cody Rhodes and LA Knight who are from WWE. MJF feels that there’s more than enough room for everyone to do their business.
And rightly so, as of January 13, 2024, with the Hard To Kill pay-per-view, IMPACT wrestling will go back to its original name of TNA Wrestling. They announced the name change on Saturday at the end of their PPV Bound For Glory.
They played a teaser promo on the jumbotron unveiling the fact that TNA Wrestling will be back at Hard To Kill. This was followed by an emotional speech by Scott D’Amore who is the President of IMPACT wrestling.
He emphasized the fact that wherever they went, fans still chanted the brand’s old name, TNA! This led them to take the decision to move back to the old name of the wrestling promotion founded by WWE’s Hall Of Famer Jeff Jarrett and his brother Jerry Jarrett. He ended the power-packed promo by saying, “TNA Wrestling, we’re f*****g back!” and dropped the mic.
But as IMPACT wrestling goes back to its original name, it will still not go back to a format that was synonymous with TNA.

But PWInsider.com reported that despite the company going back to its roots, it will not be re-introducing the six-sided ring. This is purely because there was a lot of criticism of it by talent over the years.
