Seth Rollins has been WWE’s World Heavyweight Champion for over two months. As is the case now, Rollins has always attracted success during his wrestling career. However, there was also a time when the champion used to doubt himself. Moreover, this was not too long ago. As revealed by the wrestler in a recent interview, the incidents occurred after 2019.
In the interview, Rollins revealed that there was this one time when WWE wanted him and Becky Lynch to date on-screen as well. The company wanted to bring their romance and affection to the ring. At the time, Rollins was suffering from self-doubt. This ended up being one of the reasons why the idea didn’t work out.

Despite the couple claiming to be happily married and fans loving the dynamic between them, WWE wasn’t able to pull the idea off. Talking on ‘SHAK Wrestling’ WWE’s World Heavyweight Champion and the host conversed about the same. Rollins started off by stating that the primary reason was probably the distance between the two characters. ‘The Man’ and ‘The Aerialist’ were both too far away from each other to be able to connect intimately on screen. Moreover, Rollins had personal problems too.
The Architect went on to say, “I was struggling. I didn’t know who I was on-screen, off-screen. I was going through a lot of self-doubt and depression. So for me, I was just kind of letting it all fly, hoping something would stick, hoping I could catch onto something, and I thought it would be good for all people involved.”

For these reasons, the wrestler believed that it wasn’t the best thing to do at the time. Even now, he believes the two characters are independent of each other and work great that way. But, given the chance, Rollins admits that he would like to give it a shot again.
This isn’t the first time that the world champion has talked about his depression. However, it’s one of those rare times that he has openly shared how it affected his career. Just like before, even now their characters don’t align well for an on-screen relationship, but Rollins is willing to give it a shot, nevertheless.
