Recently, WWE legend Mark Henry appeared on the podcast “Busted Open’. During the podcast, a segment came when Henry revealed that he doesn’t like when people come to him and thank him for putting his body on the line just for the sake of their entertainment.

He said that he never did that for fans. In fact, he disclosed that he did it for his fellow wrestlers and for his legacy. He even mentioned that sacrificing his body was his way to tell his peers that they weren’t alone in the field.

Talking to the host, Mark Henry said, “I got the people to come up to me and say, ‘Hey man, I really respect and appreciate what you did with your body for us and our entertainment’. ……..I was doing that for my legacy and who I competed against….… I wouldn’t in fact sacrificing my body for you. I was sacrificing my body for how I was gonna be perceived by my peers. And let them know that I am willing to sacrifice just like they are…..to them… not to the fans.”

Mark Henry further revealed that it was just fame and money that made him perform for the fans.

“I perform at a high level for the fans because I wanted to be famous, I wanted to make a dollar. But my body… You can’t walk up to me and say, ‘Thank you for sacrificing your body’ because I wasn’t doing it for you”
