Anger can cloud one’s judgment. Men often have a tendency to behave irrationally when faced with anger, which is why it is a good idea to have a woman in the vicinity to control those unruly behaviors. A perfect example of this is Rhea Ripley and Damian Preist‘s backstage segment at Fastlane.

‘Señor Money in the Bank’ was on the verge of cashing in his contract at the most recent premium live event. But luckily, the Women’s World Champion stopped him from making the mistake.

Ripley recently sat down for a virtual interview with Sporting News Australia. During her conversation, she revealed why she stopped Preist from cashing in on his MITB contract at Fastlane on October 7. Priest was already injured from his tag team match against Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. So ‘Mami’ believes going in with a bad knee would have only made him lose his briefcase.

She said, “I stopped Priest from cashing in at the PLE because he wasn’t a hundred percent. He had been beaten up in his tag team match and he was obviously running off anger, which is never good cause that’s when you slip up, so I told him no. I told him to give me the briefcase.”

‘The Eradicator’ states it is a challenge to handle all three men on Judgment Day. But they respect her and listen to her, which makes the job a bit more easy for her. ‘Señor Money in the Bank’ respects Ripley, which is why he listened to her advice and didn’t cash in his MITB contract at Fastlane. It proved to be a wise decision as the night turned out to be a miserable affair for Priest. Perhaps. Ripley’s intervention saved him from enduring a much more embarrassing streak of form on that fateful night.

It was a very unlucky day for Damian Priest at Fastlane. First, he and his tag team partner, Finn Balor, lost the undisputed tag team championship to Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes. Then the opportunity to become the World Heavyweight Champion slipped past his fingers.

Well, the credit for Priest’s misfortune in Fastlane goes to JD McDonagh. During the tag team titles match, the latter accidentally hit the former’s knee with the MITB briefcase, giving Priest a painful leg injury. This caused The Judgment Day to lose the match and their titles. It also robbed ‘Señor Money in the Bank’ of the opportunity to become the World Heavyweight Champion.
