From a hapless kid, being deprived of fatherly affection, to one of the greatest generational talents of the world’s biggest wrestling promotion, the story can really be termed a real rag to riches. By that time, you hopefully guessed who the star we’re talking about here. Well, in case you didn’t, he’s none other than our very treasured Rated R superstar, Edge.

Being single-handedly raised by mother Judy Copeland, the WWE veteran is pretty well accustomed to the feeling of void of not having a dad around and the last thing he wants is to let his daughters get the same feeling. A typical father takes over a world-famous wrestler here.

Edge prioritizes his duty as a father above everything else

Edge isn’t someone to term himself a little less lucky because of his dad’s absence in his life. Keeping aside the odds, the multi-time world champion still keeps faith in seeing the world with a tinted glass and wants to give his offspring every bit of his love and attention.

During a recent appearance in Brotherly Love Podcast, the Hall of Famer noted, ”I realize now what a father supplies yeah and I see it in my girl’s eyes and I see it in there that when they need that or when they need Mom and it’s it’s so important and it’s just I love being a father, it’s like the best thing that I’ve ever been involved, it’s just it’s awesome it is.”

”And I know it’s not for everybody right and I appreciate and I respect those people that know it’s not for them absolutely because it is life-changing.”, Edge added, taking some passive jibes at all the insincere fathers of this world.

Edge drew a picture-perfect end to his illustrious 25-year-old in-ring career

With his first and foremost priority for the rest of his life fixed, the WWE legend perhaps had his last dance in the WWE ring during a spectacular SmackDown episode on August 17.

There have been massive rumors swirling in the fold for a while regarding Edge hanging up his boots after appearing in a SmackDown episode, in front of his homegrown crowd at Toronto.

He won the match taking down Sheamus with his signature spear. But the star seemingly bid farewell to the WWE Universe after the match ended. While not announcing an official retirement, he cleared it was his last time performing in the WWE arena, in front of such a a massive crowd.
