If there is one underdog that made a huge impact on the WWE, it is Bryan Danielson or Daniel Bryan during his time in WWE. Danielson gave the company over ten years of his life and became one of the biggest babyface wrestlers. Loved by the fans and the creator of the ‘Yes!’ chant, he had one big foe, The Miz. The feud between the two is one of the WWE’s best storylines ever created. The feud is still discussed in the wrestling community as it was a simple good vs. bad, with great in-ring work and passionate promos.
Since leaving the WWE in 2021 and joining AEW, Danielson has shared his views on The Miz much to the approval of other wrestling stars

One of the longest-running feuds in the WWE has been between Danielson Bryan and The Miz. Starting in 2010 to way past 2018, there was never a conclusion. Sitting down with Gorilla Position, Danielson spoke candidly about his former foe, The Miz.
“The Miz is somebody who doesn’t know when to shut his mouth, who doesn’t know when things get taken too far.” He continued by talking about the infamous Talking Smack episode in 2016.“I said some pretty derogatory things to him.” This is about the back-and-forth between him and The Miz. During the episode, The Miz called Danielson a coward for retiring due to injury.

In multiple interviews, Danielson stated he wanted to hit The Miz during that segment as he got under his skin. Former stars like Nikki Bella, who feuded with The Miz and his wife Maryse, liked the post. Mick Foley, another wrestling legend dragged into the feud, liked the post as well.

During the promo on Talking Smack, The Miz called out Foley, among others. Foley did respond politely, but there has been tension between the two.
It started in NXT and continued after Danielson’s return
During Danielson’s time in NXT, he was The Miz’s rookie. Miz never missed an opportunity to mock Danielson’s style and career choice. This also continued on the main roster, with both putting on memorable matches like the 2010 Night of Champions for the United States Championship. The boiling point came during the 2016 Talking Smack episode when The Miz cut one of his best promos.

This resulted in an outstanding match that year’s SummerSlam. At the 2018 Super Show-Down, the finale of the feud disappointed the fans. The match was quick and lacked the storytelling aspect fans were waiting to see. Post the match, Danielson turned heel, and Miz turned face parting their ways.
