But the shocking thing is that this prank led to Cena getting a role in one of 2023’s most anticipated movies.

On the Chris Van Vliet show, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling were promoting their upcoming movie, Barbie. Talking with a wrestling journalist, the topic of John Cena was bound to come up and Robbie revealed the true story of how she asked Cena about the role.

She started telling the story by saying, “Actually, I ran into him because I went to pay the bill and they were like, ‘John Cena already took care of it’. I was like what? Where is he? He is a big guy. Because I couldn’t see him. He’s hard to hide and then I found him and I was like, ‘What are you doing here?’”
Then she revealed that at the restaurant she asked him about the role of a merman in Barbie. While she thought he wouldn’t agree to do it, Cena agreed at a moment’s notice. The news about Cena being in the Barbie movie shocked his fans. This role just goes to prove that Cena’s time in Hollywood is bouncing to the next level.

Another highlight from the upcoming projects is the Peacemaker’s second season. After its first season’s success, fans are excited for the second season. He’s also going to feature in Henry Cavill-led Argylle in 2024. Additionally, Cena has three more movies slated for release this year, Freelance, Vacation Friends 2, and Coyote vs Acme. So, it doesn’t look like Cena’s stopping with movies any time soon.
