Dwayne Johnson made a flamboyant and flashy return to the WWE after four long years on WWE last month in September. The entire WWE Universe cheered with joy on the return of The Rock as his entrance music boomed through the arena. In fact, the episode with his entrance has garnered over 150 million views across various social media platforms for WWE.

Johnson carried the SmackDown episode on the day of his return which fueled the high viewpoint of the episode. However, a WWE wrestler with far less star power than him claims that all those views are his. In fact, in a recent interview, he also said that he is the reason behind the fame of The Rock.

Austin Theory is one of the fastest-rising wrestlers on the WWE roster. Speaking alongside Grayson Waller and Adam Pearce on WWE’s The Bump, Theory laid claim to the 150 million views generated a month ago.

When Pierce asked why Theory keeps mentioning the 150 million views everywhere, he replied saying, “150 million views! Just 1 million views, people can’t even get that! I got a 150 million gig. I made Dwayne famous.” Austin Theory has 570,000 followers on Instagram, compared to the 391 million followers of The Rock. The Brahma Bull, in fact, is the fifth most followed celebrity on Instagram.

Despite this, Theory claimed to be the reason behind the staggering fame of Dwayne Johnson. Adam Pearce was bewildered by the response of the 26-year-old and asked him what part of his segment did people watch.

To this, the 2x US champ shrugged and said, “What are you talking about? They viewed Austin theory live. Get him out of here. He belongs on the RAW. He is doing the Adam Pearce thing alright.”

As fans may be aware, The Rock laid waste to Theory on his big return on SmackDown and gave everyone watching a moment to remember.

When the video of Dwayne Johnson’s return was still trending, WWE commentators were discussing it in between one of the matches. Everyone was praising Dwayne Johnson and giving him the credit for making SmackDown lively again. In fact, Michael Cole even mimicked Rock’s signature catchphrase, “If you smelllllll, what the Rock is cooking.”

However, this merry discussion was interrupted by a fuming Austin Theory. The wrestler shouted at the commentators for speaking about Dwayne Johnson but not mentioning him, the real reason behind the views according to him.
