“I Look Forward to the Next Time…”: John Cena Hopes To Make Another WWE Return Amidst Uncertainty About His Future in Wrestling

John Cena had a flashback of his prosperous 2023 in the WWE ring and couldn’t feel grateful enough for that. Before CM Punk’s jaw-dropping return at Survivor Series, John Cena sent shockwaves to the world by making a huge surprise comeback in WWE  amidst the SAG AFTRA strike. Ever since he has continued to make frequent appearances in the squared circle. That being said, now it seems like his time is summing up.

John Cena hinted at his time end in WWE

The recent video of Cena only indicated that. In a year-end Thanksgiving speech, The Cenation Leader noted, ‘The reception and respect I will never forget, I do not know how much time in the WWE I have left. But I do know in recent times when I was able to return home, you have always welcomed me as one of your own, I look forward to the next time we can get together.”

His monumental resurgence after WrestleMania 39 was a breakthrough moment for him and the promotion which led to an extended WWE run. It was a win-win situation from the marketing perspective as it garnered more eyeballs at the company.

However, given that he’s still a part-timer and returned for a definite period, there have been rumors that he might be coming to the end of his storied WWE career to focus more on his Hollywood ventures.

However, standing on the verge of the end of his historical WWE career, The Chain Gang Soldier took a trip down memory lane and had a hilarious view.

John Cena recently mocked at his WWE debut 

On June 27th, 2002, we ushered in a new era of wrestling as John Cena made his big WWE debut on SmackDown. He stepped up in style after Vince McMahon had been calling for stars to show their “ruthless aggression.”

Cena showed utter confidence and courage by answering the risky call by Vince McMahon but couldn’t sustain. He received a blow from Kurt Angle within a few seconds. That said, some big wrestling guns like The Undertaker still noted his potential and congratulated him for everything he did.

But when Cena looked back at that day, the iconic debut of the Johnny Boots-and-Tights Cena, the only thing he could do was laugh.

At the time facing an Olympian like Angle, Cena deemed his facial expression as the weirdest. He noted, ‘the exact same look that I make when I have a bowel movement so you know that I am serious.’

However, coming back to his recent viral video, we might have to jump on to the next year without Cena on the roster. Time will however tell the rest.
