Despite being a scripted sport, the impact WWE has over the fans is simply profound. The selling of an angle can be so convincing that it blurs the line between fantasy and reality sometimes. However, the overflowing emotion might sometimes reach up to such an extent that it comes out as a legitimate threat to the wrestler/wrestlers in real life.
Baron Corbin recently revealed a similar experience that he underwent during his tag team match against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins back in 2019.

Although Corbin has been an underrated heel who continues playing lowkey characters on screen, his skill and moveset as a wrestler are subject to no question. One of the greatest examples of his cool maneuvers was the iconic finisher, End of Days. That said, it once left him in deep water in terms of being on the receiving end of fans’ chilling threats.
During Extreme Rules 2019, the then-Universal Champion Seth Rollins teamed up with the then-Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch to defend their titles against Corbin and Lacey Evans. The mixed tag team match saw Corbin ambushing Lynch with the fatal End of Days., denoting the rare example of male-female action in WWE.
The segment, however, garnered him a lot of backlash including death threats.
