With WWE superstars joining Hollywood, many actors have come forward and professed their love for professional wrestling. One of the latest stars on this list is actress Margot Robbie. She got to work alongside John Cena in the reboot of ‘The Suicide Squad’ by James Gunn in 2021. In an interview for the movie’s promotion, we saw her fangirl over a special female WWE superstar.

Robbie plays the titular character of Harley Quinn in the movie, and alongside her is the 16-time World Championship winner, John Cena. Cena played the character of Peacemaker. This opened the door for Robbie to confess her love for WWE, and she didn’t miss a chance to show it.

During an interview with three-time WWE Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Robbie was joined by co-stars Daniela Melchior and Mayling Ng. Daniela Melchior plays Ratcatcher 2, and Mayling Ng plays Mongal in the movie. While talking about her love for the WWE, Margot Robbie said, “I get crazy excited. But, again, imagine what a different point of view on the world we would have if we watched women in those role.”

She explained to Belair that even with the WWE, women do things she never saw as a child. Robbie talked about how watching women like Belair at a young age would impact her life. “But imagine if I had grown up watching you (Bianca Belair) on screen.” You can see how excited Robbie is to talk about her love for the WWE and how the women’s division has impacted her and others like her.

She also cited her favorite wrestlers growing up were The Undertaker and John Cena. She went on to say how the WWE and action movies shaped her. As a fan of action stars like Stallone, she said she would have loved to see women do those movies. She further added it would have had a bigger impact on young girls.

Hearing Cena’s name from Robbie lit Belair up as she has been compared to him multiple times. During her crushing loss at SummerSlam 2021, it was Cena who advised the young star on dealing with a brutal loss. In many interviews, Belair cited Cena as one of her inspirations, while Vince Russo praised her work and called her the ‘Female John Cena.’

Once the interview went online, even The Undertaker shared his response to Robbie’s love for his career. Taking to social media, Taker posted, “The Deadman and Harley Quinn? Sounds like hell of a tag team. ⚱️”

With the Peacemaker TV show getting rave reviews and the DCU under James Gunn, it is possible for the next Robbie Cena to team up very soon.
