John Cena and WWE are like peanut butter and jelly. The company has been a part of Cena’s life for so long that it’s hard to even think of him without the promotion. Debuting in 2002, Cena went on to become the face of the company and one of its biggest stars.

As mentioned earlier, Cena has cemented his name in the WWE. Not only is he one of the most recognized stars of the business, but he is also one of the most hard-working wrestlers in the company. But over the years, the wear and tear along with his age has taken a toll on his body.
Talking to People Magazine, Cena said, “I turned 47 this past year and I don’t have much time left in the WWE.” Cena clarified that it’s not that he lost his passion or his career. The bottom line is that he cannot do it anymore because of his age. Cena’s last match was at Crow Jewel 2023 against Solo Sikoa, which he lost.
“You know, I’m trying to figure out when to close that chapter,” Cena added. Fans have been waiting for the last Cena match. While many matches have been considered to be his last, like with The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34. This match didn’t even last for five minutes and saw Cena eating the pinfall. What could’ve been a dream match that fans had been eagerly waiting for ended in two minutes and 45 seconds.

The last match Cena had was at Crown Jewel 2023, where he lost to Solo Sikoa. Fans took this as Cena putting over Sikoa and retiring. However, that might not be the case.
How the WWE Universe would like to see John Cena’s final match
As mentioned earlier, Cena vs. Taker was the dream match fans were waiting for. However, there are other stars that Cena could face in a potential final match.

Cena could go up against Roman Reigns, LA Knight, Randy Orton, and many more. Despite facing Orton more than anyone else, fans wouldn’t mind another match between the two.
