Sami Zayn is one of the most interesting WWE stars. There is little to no information the wrestler has revealed about his family. Respecting his privacy and putting curiosity aside, his early life history is also a bit complicated. The wrestler is Syrian from ancestral roots but was born in Canada. Moreover, he also performs in the United States at times, making him acquainted with multiple countries.

The former ‘Honorary Uce’ recently appeared in an interview. The Canadian wrestler was asked about his family history. He then mentioned his lost connection with his parents’ home country, Syria. He also gave the reason for this lost connection.

In an interview on Whiskey Ginger with Andrew Santino, the host was asking Zayn a bunch of questions to re-introduce him to the audience. The two eventually stumbled on the topic of Zayn’s history and how he is connected to Syria.

The wrestler explained how he was born in Canada when his parents left Syria to settle in the North American country. When asked if he visits Syria now, Zayn said, “I don’t go. I’ve never been there in my entire adult life.

The wrestler then went on to explain, “We didn’t have a lot of money growing up so a ‘trip’ to Syria was 3-4 years of saving money and then you go. So I’ve only been a handful of times and the last time I went was 1998.” So, the wrestler probably visited the country when he was 13-14 years old. Now that Zayn has gained financial stability, he would like to go and pay a visit to Syria.

For those of you who are unaware, this isn’t the first time that Zayn has nostalgically mentioned his childhood.
