Ever since its arrival in the business in 2019, Tony Khan has been making quite the headlines with AEW. Some were amazing, like the wrestling cruise or signing a big legend like Bryan Danielson. But some have also been bad for the company’s reputation, like the AEW All Out backstage brawl and the firing of CM Punk.
But last week on Dynamite, Khan made another big announcement that got many people excited. He announced that AEW will be going to Wembley Stadium for this year’s All-In, in August. Following that, this WWE legend thinks that they can break a major WWE record in Wembley Stadium.

While talking about the huge announcement in 83 weeks, Eric Bischoff made a pretty bold prediction. His co-host, Conrad Thompson, read out a lot of rumors about the show. He said that Khan could bring in top talents like Mercedes Mone, the former Sasha Banks, and one of the UK’s biggest wrestlers, PAC, is also in great condition.
Additionally, he also mentioned that Khan could make Goldberg do a special appearance on the show. After this, he said that AEW could potentially get 60,000 people in the stadium and asked Bischoff about his thoughts.
Bischoff said, “I don’t disagree. I asked around to know the gate numbers for WWE in the last 5 to 10 years, and they said it was 55,000. They’ll probably beat that. It’s a really good move.”
While AEW might be able to beat WWE in Wembley Stadium, WWE is also coming to the O2 arena in London, UK. So, we’ll have to see which company puts on a better show in England.
Was this the best time for Tony Khan to announce an international AEW show?
Khan made this announcement at the most crucial time when WWE fans are getting enraged to see Vince McMahon back in the company. His timing couldn’t have been perfect as the ending of WrestleMania frustrated many fans as well.

In addition to that, it’s rumored that Drew McIntyre might be leaving the company. If Tony Khan is able to get him to appear on the show in any capacity, it would be a game-changer. This would make Khan’s UK show a blast as we have seen last year at Clash at the Castle that McIntyre is a fan favorite in England.
