Pro wrestling has evolved with time. With old wrestlers and legends inventing and introducing new moves in wrestling, many of the newer superstars continue to hone and refine the move set further. Such is the case with the German suplex and its use by superstars, especially Brock Lesnar. Over the years, the superstar has turned the suplex into his own signature move. Unfortunately, the vicious move hasn’t pleased one Hall of Famer.

In a recent interview, a former WWE and WCW legend, who had introduced the move to American women’s wrestling, severely criticized Lesnar’s way of implementing the signature.

Madusa was a former wrestler who rose to fame from her stints in WCW and WWE in the 90s. The superstar who won the WWE Women’s championship three times in her career was an influential figure to many. Her legacy was so vast that many credit her for introducing the iconic German suplex to women’s wrestling in America. Having learned the move from her mentors in Japan, she naturally had high expectations for its delivery. According to her, it’s a move that requires a tremendous amount of precision to prevent injury.

Now in a striking Q & A with Monthly Puroresu, Madusa spoke about Lesnar’s version of the move. She said: “It scares me every time I see Brock Lesnar try to do a suplex.” The insult didn’t end there as she said: “I cringe every time. Brock does that… whatever he calls a German. I yell every time. I’m like, Suplex City, my ass. That is no German suplex!”

This is certainly a tough claim from a stern critic. Besides him, recently she also lashed out at the women’s division by saying Trish Stratus and the other wrestlers have made the women’s wrestling a sideshow.

While this is extremely difficult for Lesnar to take, this isn’t the first time fans have labeled his move set as dangerous.

Legends label Lesnar as a dangerous worker

Recently AEW legend Matt Hardy on his podcast, The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy Podcast, revealed how the F5 was a tough and tricky finisher to make as a wrestler.
