Hulk Hogan has had a number of feuds during his wrestling career. One stands out on a different level because of the repercussions it caused in Hogan’s professional life. This controversy arose from a conflict between Hogan and former WWE head writer Vince Russo. The latter worked as a booker in WCW when the disagreement took place. It grew to a point that it made Hogan do things he usually wouldn’t have done.
One of those things was to express hilariously a wrestling fantasy of his in an interview. 24 hours after the controversy in 2000, Hogan talked on ‘Bubba the Love Sponge Show’ on the radio. There, Hogan mentioned the odd wish that he expected Vince McMahon to look into.

In the summer of 2000, WCW booker Vince Russo booked Jeff Jarrett to defeat Hulk Hogan in a title bout. When the WWE Hall of Famer denied the plan, Russo came up with a different one. This time, it wasn’t appreciated by Hogan either. Jarrett laid down in the ring allowing Hogan to pin him. Following this incident, Hogan walked out of WCW.
During the night, all the frustration grew into a dispute, eventually making Hulk Hogan walk out of WCW altogether. When Hogan appeared on Bubba’s show 24 hours after the incident, he was still angry at the promotion and shared a hilarious desire he wanted McMahon to convert into reality.
Hogan went on to narrate the desire by saying, “I wish Vince McMahon would do one of his skits and take one of his jabronis and put a Vince Russo wig on his head and a New York Yankees t-shirt and have Nick go out and just beat the sh*t out of him.” The WWE Hall of Famer was frustrated with the way he was treated in WCW toward the end of his tenure.

Hall of Famer friend supports Hulk Hogan
Hogan’s fellow Hall of Famer, Ric Flair, once publicly gave his thoughts on Hogan. We can’t hide the fact that Hogan has had several controversies along the way. Keeping all of them aside, Nature Boy believes that Hogan deserves the same respect that other WWE legends receive.
He feels this way because he remembers that Hogan used to do charities every night. Although Flair lost track of Hollywood Hogan’s charities after the nineties, he remembers his goodwill in those days.
