Why did Bret Hart get angry with Hulk Hogan?
Before becoming the poster boy of the New Generation Era alongside Shawn Michaels, WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart was involved in a feud with Hogan. The real-life heat started after Hogan got involved in the WrestleMania IX main event match in 1993. WWE superstar Yokozuna defeated Hart to win the WWE (then WWF) Championship. However, Hogan entered the ring and within 22 seconds won the belt from the new champion.

This was part of the work. But according to Hart’s memoir, Hogan refused to fulfill his end of the bargain. This led to real life heat. Recalling it, the Hulkster said, “Bret Hart thought I basically sabotaged his career, because Bret thought he should have been the greatest wrestler that ever lived, and he said it was my fault.”
Hogan, to Hart’s dismay, refused to drop the title to him, two months after the match at ‘The Showcase of the Immortals’. To exacerbate The Hitman’s plight, Hogan lost to Yoko at that year’s King of the Ring. Later that night, Hart won his match against Bam Bam Bigelow.
