In a few days’ time, WWE will be hosting its upcoming premium live event (PLE). Fastlane will be emanating from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse, an 18,000-seater indoor arena in Indianapolis, Indiana, on October 7. So far, WWE has announced two matches. As per reports, more matches will be announced on the September 29 episode of SmackDown.

There is a high chance that a championship bout involving three wrestlers in a triple-threat match will make the card.

Who will be defending the championship?

So far, WWE has already announced a match between World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and his challenger Shinsuke Nakamura. Another fixture will feature John Cena in a handicap match against Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.

As per reports, now WWE Women’s Champion Iyo Sky will be defending her belt in a triple threat match. The development was shared on X by BWE. However, no news or update about her opponents was shared by the user.

There is a high chance that one of them will be Asuka. Sky’s compatriot was the inaugural WWE Women’s Champion, who lost her belt to Bianca Belair at SummerSlam. That night, shortly after Belair had her arms raised, Sky cashed in her Money In The Bank contract, defeated the champion, and won the title.

So, the other opponent could be the former champion, trying to avenge her previous loss. That said, fans will have to wait for the episode for WWE to make things official.
