On SmackDown, Bobby Lashley once again showed why he is called The Almighty. His brute force was enough to win the bout against United States Champion Rey Mysterio. Not only this during the match two LWO members, Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro were taken out by The Street Profits, leaving them unavailable for their Fastlane match. Post the match, the LWO looked dejected and frustrated but Mysterio had a backup plan.

After his match, Rey Mysterio told a concerned Zelina Vega and Santos Escobar that he would make a phone call to find a replacement for their Fastlane match against Lashley and The Street Profits.

Carlito might turn up as the third member of the LWO against Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits

The last time Carlito was seen in the WWE was at Backlash when he came to assist the LWO after the Street Fight between Bad Bunny & Damien Priest. The San Juan crowd went berserk when they heard The Caribbean Cool’s entry music. He was even wearing an LWO shirt giving a hint to the fans that he is their newest member.

But post that he was not seen in the WWE. That is until Rey Mysterio decided to make a phone call to a special friend to finalize the 3rd member for their match against Lashley and The Street Profits. Fans are speculating that the phone call was with Carlito who has been signed to WWE since June as per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Radio.

If that is indeed the case, Fastlane has just got even more exciting. Carlito’s return to the WWE will infuse some much-needed strength into the LWO. Carlito had a great run with the WWE between 2003 and 2010 winning multiple championships. His second run with the brand might see him adding more gold to that tally.

But why was Carlito released from the WWE in 2010?

Carlito had everything going for him in the early 2000’s. He had the charisma and style which even reminded fans of the great Razor Ramon aka Scott Hall. Carlito had some good feuds with big names like John Cena, Triple H, Ric Flair and Randy Orton to name a few.

But sadly his WWE dream came to an abrupt end when he failed a drug test for banned substances. He was then given an ultimatum to join a rehab facility after the mandatory 30 day suspension.

But he refused to attend the rehab and that eventually left the WWE management with no choice but to release him from the roster. But what do you guys think Carlito might do once he returns to the WWE?
