WWE has been going through some major changes recently with the Endeavor takeover and this latest news may not bode well in their lawsuit with MLW. While speaking in an interview with Wrestlenomics, the longtime WWE Defense attorney revealed why did he decide to no longer represent WWE in its case against MLW.

McDevitt stated he has been planning to retire since the early months of last year and he thinks now is the good time to act upon it as he is 74 years old.

He was hoping the court would dismiss the case just like it did the first time, but nothing of such sort happened. So he believes that the case will get stretched to 2025. He advised his client to look for someone else to take his place as he will wrapping things up by the end of the year.

Then he stated that he worked for WWE for 36 years and loved being a part of it. He cherished all those lovely moments he had with Vince McMahon and stated that he would be more than happy to help him in the future in any way he can.

Now that McDevitt from K&L Gates is retiring, WWE has appointed other top names in the law and justice territory to help them with the MLW lawsuit.
