Roman Reigns might have garnered huge admiration from fans all across on his touring run as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. It’s nearly impossible to foresee an end to his historic reign at this moment. On the flip side, it’s also unfeasible to answer when fans will be done with their slanting taunt toward Reigns for his reduced schedule in the mix.
The Tribal Chief hasn’t appeared in more than one SmackDown episode since SummerSlam went down, making fans hold their breath for the next. That said, it seems like fans will be better off taking a back seat, as a recent update about Roman Reigns’ next fight means that the WWE legend won’t see the small screen for over a month and a half.

According to recent reports, Reigns likely won’t be seen in the ring for at least another month and a half. Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer wrote in his Wrestling Observer newsletter, ‘‘As expected, the next Reigns match will be 11/4 in Saudi Arabia. He will be back on television in the time leading to that show to promote the match.”
There can be a host of reasons behind WWE winding it down for Reigns. It might be a consequence of his serious back injuries. However, it could be WWE’s own tactics to build up the tension among fans by keeping him sidelined before a final beatdown. It might as well be to make sure The Usos are accustomed to not having The Tribal Chief.
Whatever the case, we will be able to watch and analyze the move better in November.
Meanwhile, another major potential dream match involving Roman Reigns has already started brewing.
WWE legend teases WrestleMania match against Reigns
The Rock has sent shock waves to the wrestling world, finding his feet back at the Stamford-based company at tonight’s SmackDown. One of the biggest Hollywood hunks, Johnson wrestled for the first time since 2019. Although he previously spilled his plan to return somewhere around 2024, The Great One expedited his decision, proving he is the same fierce and passionate WWE OG, willing to cut down other things in life but not wrestling.
The 10-time world champion didn’t stop there. He threw an open challenge to the current kingpin of wrestling, his cousin, Roman Reigns.
Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, he revealed that he was originally booked to fight Reigns at WrestleMania 39, but unfortunately, it didn’t succeed at garnering a nod from WWE’s creative department due to the poor buildup.
Nonetheless, he didn’t give up on the idea and openly invited his cousin to fight him at WrestleMania 40 next year.
