Cody Rhodes opened tonight’s edition of WWE Raw with a fiery promo in front of his hometown crowd in Atlanta, Georgia. Fighting back tears upon his entrance, Cody tried to level Brock Lesnar verbally, even before he appeared. He then got super-hyped at the presence of his family and took a pivot to thank his mother Michelle Rubio, who was sitting at the ringside.

The 38-year-old mentioned how his mother, Michelle, taught him everything in life and groomed him to be the person he has become. Although the segment ended with Lesnar annihilating Rhodes in front of his family, his promo dedicated to his mother created a hell of an emotional moment for both fans and Rhodes’ family as well.

Brother Dustin Rhodes can’t help but acknowledge Cody Rhodes for pulling out a stand-out promo involving their mother. After putting The Beast Incarnate on notice via Twitter for what he did last night, the former Golddust went on to address the teary moment of the entire show. “So proud of my brother!! He is shining bright! ❤️ ya Codeman @CodyRhodes,” he tweeted.

However, it seems like more exposure to Cody Rhodes’ family life, and insight into his life as a kid awaits fans as Peacock’s new documentary, American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes, already launched its first official trailer.

The first trailer has landed for Peacock’s documentary on WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes. American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes follows Rhodes’ journey away from the WWE and his second run in WWE after WrestleMania 38 in 2022 as well while giving an insight into his life as the son of legendary Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes.

The documentary, narrated by Arrow and Heels star Stephen Amell, will premiere on Peacock on Monday, July 31. It is surely going to be a must-watch for every Cody Rhodes fan with a lot of unrevealed facts and twists inside.
