Dwayne Johnson has effectively and absolutely turned himself into the heartbeat of everything WWE right now. His involvement always becomes a cause for celebration. However, his current run has proven to be one of the biggest after a long hiatus. But, The Rock season seems to be coming to an end, as WrestleMania XL approaches.
Johnson’s involvement centers on the upcoming Mania. However, it can be safely said that, despite this, concluding things at WM40 will be a forced climax. Especially given the complexity of the storylines The Rock is involved in. Interestingly, a renowned radio personality and WWE analyst thinks this isn’t the final chapter of The Brahma Bull’s return.

Popular podcaster Chris Van Vliet recently invited WWE radio sensation Sam Roberts on his show. They discussed the storied career of John Cena and how fans are lately appreciating him instead of booing his evergreen babyface role. This brought them to Dwayne Johnson and the potential ending of his current chapter in WWE and Vliet asked Roberts how long The Rock could stick around in his latest stint. Sam Roberts said, “Well that’s a great question because, and I’m optimistic because he’s on the board now, right?
“He’s a part of TKO and a very strong, important part of the company now. So I feel like, and I also think that that’s what makes it fun…” He later tried to estimate the stay of Dwayne Johnson based on this theory.
Roberts notes, “Is he just in for WrestleMania season? Yeah. Is he in for longer than that? Is he going to pop in and pop out more often? We don’t know, but we can speculate wildly now more so than ever because he is attached, which he hasn’t been attached to in a long time.” Despite his prior appearance in September, his involvement had no concise purpose and didn’t evolve much, other than an excuse for Austin Theory to boast about himself.
Dwayne Johnson has added a lot of layers to his current run in WWE. He has teamed up with Roman Reigns and joined The Bloodline. He has also made his presence known as a menacing adversary by getting into a grand beef with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. Moreover, he has also given fans reason to believe that none of this is permanent. But what are the different directions that he can take to continue post-WrestleMania XL?
The Triple-Threat of storylines for The Rock
To say that Dwayne Johnson has been sneaky ever since he came back would be an understatement. His allegiance to Roman Reigns has several holes in it. Especially since he acknowledged him ‘since he’s family’. Thus, the respect doesn’t really stem from anything greater than blood ties.

On top of it, the L sign made by Dwayne Johnson during a segment hinted that he might be a Cody Crybaby himself. Lastly, the WWE Universe knows that The Brahma Bull has always been his own dog. His initial entry after the Royal Rumble event concluded saw him supersede Cody Rhodes to compete against Reigns.’ This in itself said a lot about his true intentions.
