If you ask any wrestling fan to name a pro wrestler, there’s a high chance you will hear John Cena. Being in the industry for over two decades, Cena has amassed a reputation for being one of the most hard-working and best wrestlers in the business. However, according to this WWE legend, Cena would only be billed as the fifth-best in one faction of the WWE.

This man has been around pro wrestling since 1986, so he knows what he’s talking about. But is he advocating the right thing?

Paul Heyman is an icon of wrestling. With his skills on the mic, he carved a position for himself that others could only dream of. After leaving Brock Lesnar, he aligned himself with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline. Together, they have been one of the most dominant heels in the company.

The Special Counsel and Wiseman to The Tribal Chief once explained why someone like Cena would never join The Bloodline. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, Heyman said, “John Cena is so comfortable in his righteousness that he would never be able to live with himself knowing the compromise of conscience that would be necessary to be a full-fledged member of The Bloodline.” This hinted at how The Bloodline is a heel-stable, and Cena never turned heel ever.

Heyman continued that The Bloodline was a group not meant for someone like Cena. He said, “Besides that, he is a highly intelligent and savvy self-promoter.” This was a nod to how Cena was never part of a group during his time in the WWE. Cena by himself, was a brand that fans fell in love with.

Finally, Heyman broke down the real reason as to why Cena would never align with The Bloodline. “Cena could never accept that, in The Bloodline, he’d be number two behind Roman Reigns,” Heyman said. He explained how the second and third spots would actually be for Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Following this, the fourth spot would be for Heyman, and the fifth would be for Cena.

Heyman considers Cena an enormous attraction

While on the topic of Cena, Heyman also said that Cena was a massive draw in the WWE. Despite being a part-timer, he knew he had his fans. “Cena is an enormous attraction. He’s also smart. He knows he’ll always be positioned as number-one on the marquee against us, but never with us,” Heyman said.

According to Heyman, the thirst for being #1 in the WWE would always prevent Cena from joining The Bloodline. In conclusion, Heyman also said he was eager to introduce Cena to the new Reigns.
