Even before its release, the Barbie movie had people around the world hooked with its vivid stylization and color palette. The WWE Universe was no exception to it. In fact, the movie caught the attention of many current WWE superstars. The movie also has a direct connection with the Stamford-based promotion.

Recently, superstar Zelina Vega showed off her Barbie-inspired outfit, earning high praise from fans. The latest superstar to join the Barbie bandwagon is Charlotte Flair. On the heels of an attack from fans, The Queen chose to snub it by professing her love for the Margot Robbie movie.

Flair irked the fans after her outing on the latest episode of SmackDown. The 14-time world champion, who is known for her energetic performances in the ring, committed a rather rookie botch. The essence of pro wrestling lies in the wrestler’s ability to sell moves. Unfortunately, the 37-year-old failed to do that.

She engaged in a bout with former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Iyo Sky on the July 21 episode of the blue brand. While Flair won it, during the match, she undersold a move from the Japanese pro wrestler. Eagle-eyed fans didn’t notice the mistake and soon social media was flooded with users calling out the former champion.

Undeterred by it, she tweeted: “And I’m bad like the Barbie”. This is also the opening line of the Barbie World song by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice. The track has been curated for Greta Gerwig’s movie, which premiered at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on July 9, 2023.

Apart from Robbie and Ryan Gosling, who plays Barbie and Ken, respectively, the film also stars WWE icon John Cena as Kenmaid, a merman.
